Absence/Tardy Policy

Roll call

Roll is taken each morning, and students who are not present are marked absent. If a student arrives after 8:10 am, they are marked tardy.

If a student is absent for any reason, the parent or guardian must contact the office, 412-761-5043, by 9:00 a.m. the day of the absence and leave a message.

Reporting an absence

Reporting absences and tardiness to the office in a timely manner is necessary to insure the safety and well being of all Northside Catholic Assumption Academy students. Upon returning to school, students must have a note from their parents explaining the absence.

Planned absences

Should there be a planned absence, (medical appointment, travel, etc.) the student’s teachers and office are to be informed, in writing, of the dates as soon as possible. Teachers will work with the student to prepare them for the missed time so that the student is able to maintain continued academic success.
